Thanks for praying for me this week

Hi everyone,

Sorry for the gap in communication. This was due in part to having the need to guard my rest after a month-long string of special meetings and the fact that I did not have the words to express what a wonderful time we had at CampMeeting this year. I wasn’t sure what to tell you. I did not want to boast in a way that would take away from the glory that I was feeling, but neither did I want minimize it. It was clearly a time where God tipped His big hand upon us and blessed us mightily. There are some photos posted under the "MY PHOTOS tab above.

The Word of the Week is about "Importance of Impartation" which has to do with how we receive gifts and callings. Just click on the tab above.

CAMPMEETING REPORT

I am deeply grateful to the church at Baltimore who brought something deeply refreshing in worship. The people could not get enough of it. It was hard to end the meeting each night.

Each evening I preached spontaneously on “Walking in Newness of Life” which had life in it for me, and from what I hear from others, we are all grateful to the Lord.

After the message each night we had an Afterglow which grew in power each night. During this time people waited upon the Lord and be touched by the Spirit in one way or another. The highlight for many of us was seeing the kids being touched by the Lord. Some went down under the power, others had visions, some prophesied, which others spoke in tongues for the first time. It was so pure. There were small groups of children going around laying hands on people, praying for healing and blessing. Adults got on their knees to be prayed for. One you boy told me, “We prayed for one lady who had a lump under her arm. After we prayed she felt it and said it had gotten smaller. So, we prayed again, and she said it went away.” He said they had seen another healing like this as they prayed. During the last song of the last night, the kids worshipped so whole-heartedly, that the drowned the worship team out. It was deeply moving for anyone who heard it.

During the morning meetings, while the children were in VBS with Lorene Martin or learning how to throw a tomahawk with Bo Krop Jr. While they were learning to start a fire without matches, the adults were learning how to step out and let the Holy Spirit manifest Himself through them. For most of us this was a stretch. My goal from the outset was everyone would have had hands laid on them, been baptized with the Holy Spirit, spoken in tongues, and start prophesying by the end of the week. I wanted everyone would be able to give and receive a word from the Lord during this time. For the most part this happened and everyone testified that it was a special time of refreshing from the Lord.

As usual, there was great food and fellowship each evening. There was such expectancy each day, and an amazing sense of unity among the various churches represented.

Thank you for praying and for contributing the success of these meetings. We look forward to more next year.

SOME PEOPLE'S RESPONSES

People of all ages wrote little notes of gratitude and gave them to me. Here are some of them:

These tent meetings were awesome!

I got filled by the Holy Spirit and it was really awesome. I am going to remember these tent meetings for ever.

I felt the Lord.

God gave me tongues in the tent meetings.

I thought the young people’s human videos were powerful.

So glad to see some revival n the Penn Yan area. Some love of God in everyone ministering. You could feel the sweet Spirit of God when you enter the tent.

The Lord has been so good. My life is changed because of the Lord and I thank God.

God has delivered me from the oppression that was in my life, the things that were dragging me down and keeping me from breaking through. Before the tent meetings I was crying out to God, but could not put my finger on what was holding me back. God spoke some direction to the issue and I am free.

I loved the worship and the sweet fellowship with the God’s people, but the greatest blessing was watching Jesus touch my children.

Very blessed by the worship team and their humble ministry to bring us into the throne room of God.

I really like the unity and freedom. I don’t feel scolded to worship. I have learned a lot about healing and I overcame the fear of prophesy to people. I’ve met a lot of new people and I can’t wait to come next year! It is all together refreshing.

I prayed for one lady who had a lump under her arm. After we prayed, it got smaller. So we prayed again and she felt for it and said it was no gone. We saw two healings tonight. Actually, they were miracles.

 Blessings, Penn
